Cabin porthole and teak eyebrow, the kind of structure a survey records

Walk the hull

Inspection

Inspection is not one walk with four names. Each type has a different file: what to open, what to write, who will read it. Technical, pre-purchase, valuation, insurance and claims can carry the WSB Nautical Survey seal. A sea trial or an engine check does not, unless that file needs it. The report is the paper of the visit.

← Services
  • Technical inspection

Structure, systems and a written record. The default survey of the hull as it stands.

  • Pre-purchase inspection

Before a transfer. What must be true for the price to hold.

  • Engine and systems

Hours, drives, electrics, tanks. The machinery, not the paint.

  • Sea trial

Behaviour at sea, on a checklist. After the dock, not instead of it.

  • Valuation

Auction and inventory. A number that can stand in a list, a probate or a sale under the hammer.

  • Insurance

The file an underwriter will actually read. The laboratory does not issue the policy.

    WSB Nautical Survey ↗
  • Claims

Sinistro. What changed, what was already there, and what the file can support.

  • Inspection report

    R$ 1,500

The written record after the visit. Photographs, moisture, open questions.
